Bye Bye Summer!

Who knew March was such a crazy month?  I guess, at least after this one, me.  B has been out of town the entire month (and I mean that literally.  He left before March even began and is just getting home tomorrow, with a free weekend thrown in for good measure).  It is the final month of summer here in the Southern Hemisphere and like any ending, it is bittersweet.  A lot of great fun was had before we hunkered down for the start of school (yep, school starts in March) and the beginning of the rainy season.  We spent a lot of time outdoors.  It has been a busy month, but a fabulous one and it's not even over yet (we still have 2 birthday parties and a date night between now and next week).  I am surprised I even have time to sit down and write this.  And I really don't, so I won't.  I will let the pictures tell the story.

In March,
We stopped to smell the flowers while out walking...

And we jumped off of every ledge, chair, rock and bench we could find.

We ran with the dog, and forgot to let go when she took off in a sprint after another puppy.

So, we dried some tears, bandaged some scrapes, had a juice box and learned an important lesson - When the dog outweighs you by about double, let go of the leash.
We cut off Rapunzel's hair...
We goofed around before dance class...

And we had to sit and wait for our sister to finish her class, but looked so cute doing it...

We had a play date at our house (we were taking a short break here)
And we had a play date at the club (no children )

We washed the car (and the dog) on the one weekend this month that B was home...

It was bittersweet but we swam in the pool for the last time this summer...

We very excitedly started our first day of the new school year!  How is it possible that they are both in school?

We drew a hopscotch board and proceeded to jump until we could jump no more...

 She told some great stories!!!

And she sang a few songs...

There was some ice skating (thanks K for being her stand in Papa)

There was some saying goodbye (We will miss you terribly Julie!)

And there were lots and lots of baths (summer is dirty)!

And to finish it up in a sweet way, we painted some chocolaty good eggs!

Hope that your March was just as much fun!!!
