Rocky Mountain High

We are back from Colorado.  And I (and the girls) are exhausted.  There will not be a lot of words but I do have a lot of pictures of our time spent in Breckenridge.  I will let them tell the story - the end of this story.  It was a great week - the week that B finally joined us on our vacation.  The week we wound down and spent our time hiking, bike riding, horseback riding, and soaring down the mountain on a roller coaster.  We ice skated (some for the first time), we rode the gondola to and fro and we chased rainbows and in the end, we packed our bags (ALL of them) and started our journey back to Chile...to our lives, the routine that makes up our days.  It was a fantastic voyage, one we will hopefully get a chance to do again on our next home leave...

We took our first night back easy and went for a walk to Nana and Grampa's new house.  Can't wait to see it when it is all done!

We told her this was the time out spot.  It's really where the cat's litter box goes but she really does think that it's where she will go if she misbehaves.

Not a bad view from the back yard.

She tried a few of the flowers (all edible - and all resulted in this face...)

We painted our hands...

Put them on pottery...

And then made it all pretty.

We fired them.  And all in all, I think they turned out perfect!

Her first motorcycle ride (she went about a block and a half - twice - and loved it)

We swam...

Dipped our feet in the river...

And stood on ice skates for the first time (and learned to skate with our big sisters help)

One of my oldest friends (longevity wise...)

We climbed to 12,000 feet and then came back down again on the roller coaser...and all the while we took in the incredile views surrounding us.

We fed, hugged and kissed the horses before taking an hour and a half ride to the top of the mountain. And then came back down again across the ski trail that we know so well (at least when they are buried under 5 feet of snow - they were almost unrecognizable on horseback)

One last hike on the trails behind the house...

And we were headed for the airport.  So much fun.  So much laughter.  So many memories coming home with us...

So. Much. Luggage.  (and this doesn't include our carry on's and stroller)
